Wednesday 4th of June at 14:00 – Room Y27 H 12: PhD defense of Kaan Karaman – "Deforestation Mapping and Guided Super-Resolution of Above-Ground Biomass Using Satellite Imagery and Attention-Based Deep Learning Methods": Multi-temporal guided super-resolution approach for above-ground biomass estimation. The input of the model comprises Sentinel-1/2 time-series data as guides and low-resolution biomass maps as the source. The overall model is designed to integrate spatial and temporal information to generate high-resolution biomass predictions.

Thursday 08.05.25 Time: 12.15 - 13.45 Room: Y27H12: Talk by Peter Tankov (ENSAE, Institut Polytechnique de Paris): A model of strategic sustainable investment: We study a problem of optimal irreversible investment and emission reduction formulated as a nonzero-sum dynamic game between an investor with environmental preferences and a firm. The game is set in continuous time on an infinite-time horizon. The firm generates profits with a stochastic dynamics and may spend part of its revenues towards emission reduction Link
